Guy is a highly versatile musician, performing on all the instruments in the woodwind family across an array of genres including classical, contemporary, rock, musical theatre, jazz and folk.

He trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, studying saxophone but also learning clarinet, flute and oboe. Whilst studying he received scholarships from the Guildhall and from the Countess of Munster Trust, and was selected as a finalist in the Worshipful Company of Needlemakers Woodwind Prize.

Guy is a founding member of the award-winning chamber quartet Kaleidoscope. Since its creation in 2009 the group has built a formidable repertoire spanning four centuries, and has performed extensively, with highlights including appearances at the Wigmore Hall, Bridgewater Hall and Purcell Room, as well as the Festival d’Auvers-sur Oise in France. The group has won numerous awards from organisations including the Hattori Foundation, the Tunnell Trust, the Worshipful Company of Musicians and the Park Lane Group, and released their first CD Oil in 2016 with support from the City Music Foundation and the Help Musicians Emerging Excellence scheme.

Guy is often called upon as a woodwind multi-instrumentalist, performing and recording on saxophone, clarinet, flute and oboe across a wide range of genres. Working with renowned composer/producers Hannah Peel and Erland Cooper, Guy recorded solo oboe on the Paul Weller album True Meanings, and played clarinets and oboe on their acclaimed collaboration with poet Will Burns, Chalk Hill Blue. Guy can also be heard on Peel’s Emmy-nominated score for the documentary Game of Thrones: The Last Watch. In larger ensembles, he works with groups such as the Britten Sinfonia, London Metropolitan Orchestra and contemporary ensemble Icebreaker, with whom he has performed extensively in the UK and Europe.

In theatre, Guy performs extensively both as a dep and on longer contracts, both in the west end and on UK tours, with recent shows including Falsettos (The Other Palace), Aladdin (west end), Macbeth and Midsummer Night’s Dream (Blenheim Palace), The Grinch (UK tour), Fun Home (Young Vic), Gypsy (west end), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (UK tour) and Wonder.land (National Theatre)
